How can you stay informed?

There are so many ways to stay informed about school happenings, students grades, and information about assignments.

Grades??

Students and Parents are able to access Powerschool to view grades for each class. Each student has a unique username and password.  If a student login is needed, please contact Mrs. Danielle West or Mrs. Clara Curry.

Email??

Every student has access to a school email account.  Students will receive some information via email.  It might not be a bad idea for parents to add the student email address to a parent device in an effort to stay better informed. You might also have the student add the email account on personal devices and remind them to check their email daily.  If a student login is needed, please contact Mrs. Danielle West.  Mrs. West is also available if help is needed adding the account to a personal device.

Assignments??

Almost all of our teachers use Google Classroom or Edmodo to share assignments and information with their classes.  Each student has a unique login for both of those websites as well.  Students may access both Google Classroom and Edmodo from any device.  Many teachers also use REMIND to send out text notifications reminding students of upcoming assignments.  All REMIND codes are listed on class syllabi.  Parents and students are encouraged to sign up for the REMIND classes in order to receive text notifications from teachers.

School Happenings??

We attempt to keep parents and students informed of upcoming happenings.  School information and updates are posted on the AMS Facebook page daily.  If you are on Facebook, please like our page for updates.  If you are not on Facebook, you will find a link to our Facebook page on the main page of the AMS website.

Mr. Watkins, our principal, also sends out weekly memos to parents via email,  Please make sure we have a current email on file for your child.
